Discover electrolysis hair removal

Electrolysis hair removal is considered the only 100% permanent hair removal method. It is performed by sending an electrical impulse directly into the hair follicle using a fine needle or microfilament. This electrical discharge creates a chemical reaction, causing the hair to permanently disintegrate. The therapist then extracts each hair using tweezers, demonstrating the precision and effectiveness of this technique.

Several sessions are necessary to effectively remove all hairs given the hair cycle. Note that the operation is only effective during the hair growth phase (anagen).

Electrolysis can be performed alone or in addition to other hair removal treatments, including laser hair removal.
Effective and suitable for all skin and hair types, it can be performed all year round, unlike laser hair removal which is contraindicated in summer.

Learn more about our technologies

An effective technique with undeniable results

Electrolysis is a definitive solution for all types of hair.

The biggest advantage of electrolysis is that it is suitable for all hair types and colors, including light hair that is resistant to laser, such as white, gray, red or blonde hair.
In addition, with electrolysis hair removal, hormone-sensitive areas are not stimulated and there is no risk of paradoxical regrowth.

Electrolysis hair removal is a perfect complement to laser hair removal

Electrolysis hair removal can complement laser hair removal treatment to permanently get rid of residual hair that is more resistant, particularly extremely fine hair.
Electrolysis also treats areas that are contraindicated for laser, including hormone-dependent areas: the linea alba, umbilical line, chest, thorax, cheeks and chin.

Why we chose hybrid diode laser technology

We offer cutting-edge technology with different depth penetration capability effectively destroying hair on all skin types.
Following the study conducted by the French National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety (ANSES), Diode technology has proven to be the undisputed choice. The Diode laser offers the most effective and comfortable permanent hair removal for the user. This choice is anchored in concrete study data commissioned by a government agency.

How does electrolysis hair removal work at SSSKIN?

01

1st consultation free and without obligation

A first free consultation with one of our therapists is mandatory in order to carry out a complete diagnosis of your skin and hair. The goal is to assess the feasibility of the treatment on the areas to be treated. At the end of the session, the therapist will establish a personalized treatment plan designed according to your needs.

02

Before starting hair removal

In order to make your sessions as enjoyable as possible, you have the option of watching films on our virtual reality headsets or listening to music on one of our luxurious Bang & Olufsen headsets.

03

During hair removal sessions

The therapist begins the hair removal by disinfecting the area to be treated, then adjusts the settings of his device and determines the type of filament to use. Once this is done, he can proceed with the hair removal.

04

After each hair removal session

Some swelling, slight crusting and redness may appear after the sessions. These generally disappear within 24 to 48 hours following the session. It is important not to expose yourself to the sun, nor to rub or touch the treated area during this time, because the post-treatment period is very important to promote the skin regeneration process.

05

Results at the end of treatment

At SSSKIN, we guarantee hair removal up to 95%. Electrolysis hair removal requires fewer sessions and the interval between sessions is often shorter than laser hair removal.

Precautions & contraindications

Everything you need to know about electrolysis

How does electrolysis or electric hair removal work?

This hair removal method involves inserting a microfilament or a very fine needle into the hair follicle and delivering a kind of electric shock to permanently destroy the hair bulb. This method works hair by hair and therefore requires more time and effort on the part of the practitioner, making the operation long but very effective.

Can permanent hair removal by electrolysis complement my laser hair removal treatment?

Yes, it is possible. If you want to eliminate some regrowth after your laser treatment, you can do it with electrolysis. At SSSKIN, we offer you the possibility of completing your laser treatment with a few electrolysis sessions in order to obtain 100% permanent hair removal!

Who can do electrolysis hair removal?

This electrolysis hair removal technique is suitable for all skin and hair types without restriction, including white, gray and blond hair, which pulsed light and laser cannot treat. Electrolysis hair removal is suitable for all parts of the body and can also be used on tattooed skin.

Electrolysis hair removal is also recommended for treating areas that are less sensitive to laser treatment, particularly hormone-dependent areas such as the face and chest.

How many electrolysis hair removal sessions should I have?

To maximize and optimize the treatment, it should be performed when the hair is in the growth phase, which is why it is necessary to perform several sessions to eliminate all of the hair. It takes approximately six sessions spaced 10 days to 5 weeks apart. However, it is sometimes necessary to perform more sessions depending on the needs of the host and the areas to be treated.
