What is PRP hair?

Technical

PRP hair, or Platelet Rich Plasma, involves injecting plasma obtained from your own blood into the scalp.

The principle of PRP is simple: using growth factors present in plasma to regenerate and repair your hair follicles, thus rebuilding your hair fiber and stimulating regrowth.

It is a 100% natural autologous technique, which presents no risk of intolerance, allergy or rejection, and is intended for both men and women.

Objective

The goal of PRP hair is to stimulate cellular regeneration of hair follicles and scalp stem cells to slow hair loss and actively promote hair growth.

Result

Stronger, thicker hair, a healthier scalp, and reduced hair loss from the first session. You'll notice hair regrowth after just two to three months of treatment.

For effective and lasting results, an initial treatment of 3 to 5 sessions at 4-week intervals is recommended.

Sustainability

To maintain and optimize results, you should perform maintenance sessions once or twice a year, depending on your response to treatment.

The benefits of PRP hair injections

Stop hair loss

From the first session, the injections slow down hair loss until it stops completely, thanks to the growth factors that stimulate your roots.

Stimulates growth

The treatment activates microcirculation in the scalp, in addition to regenerating the follicles, thus accelerating hair regrowth naturally from the 3rd session.

Strengthens hair structure

PRP growth factors strengthen the structure of fragile and weakened hair and make it more resistant to damage and breakage.

Restores volume

Platelet-rich plasma increases your hair density and helps you achieve fuller, fuller, and more manageable hair because it has more texture.

Improves overall hair quality

Plasma growth factors nourish your hair and improve its texture, making it shinier and full of vitality.

Reduces dandruff

PRP purifies and balances the scalp, reducing dandruff and irritation problems thanks to its soothing effect.

Our ultim® technology ensures high precision during PRP injections on the scalp

SSSKIN uses ULTIM® technology for PRP hair treatment. Our technology employs an electronic control system that ensures precise plasma injection. This allows the product to be distributed evenly and targeted to the scalp, quickly and painlessly.

The electronic system allows the therapist to control the dose, depth and speed at which the plasma is injected.

With our ULTIM® technology, your hair will be deeply treated and will receive all the nutrients from the plasma to stimulate regrowth and slow hair loss.

How does a PRP hair session at SSSKIN take place?

01

First consultation (free)

Before the procedure, you must first consult our therapist to carry out a diagnosis to assess the health of your hair follicles and scalp and to understand certain parameters related to hair growth such as density, hair cycle, growth speed...

02

Course of the session

The therapist begins by drawing a 12 ml blood sample under strict aseptic conditions. The sample is then centrifuged for 8 to 10 minutes to isolate approximately 6 ml of high-quality PRP. The procedure lasts approximately 40 minutes.

03

Visible results

The final step involves reinjecting the recovered plasma directly into the scalp using sterile microneedles. The product is easily absorbed. The amount of plasma and injection depth are tailored to the needs of our clients.

The procedure takes approximately 40 minutes.
You can resume your daily activities quickly after treatment.

04

Post-processing

Our team will provide post-treatment follow-up to monitor the progress of PRP results over the weeks and months following treatment.

Platelet-enriched plasma makes your hair stronger, thicker, and healthier!

What forms of hair loss can PRP treat?

Moderate androgenetic alopecia (baldness)

PRP is most effective in cases of incipient or moderate baldness, but less so in cases of very advanced baldness or in areas that are completely bald. In cases of more or less mild baldness, the treatment can slow hair loss and thicken hair.

Postpartum hair loss

Temporary hair loss can occur during the postpartum period. However, it can quickly worsen if left untreated. PRP injections provide your hair with the nutrients it needs to slow hair loss and restore thick, strong hair.

Traction alopecia

PRP can treat hair loss related to traction alopecia, caused by tight hairstyles that constantly pull on the roots, particularly around the forehead, temples, above the nape of the neck, and around the ears. Over time, this will destroy your hair follicles. PRP is the best solution to regenerate them before they become permanently damaged.

Telogen effluvium (diffuse alopecia)

PRP helps treat diffuse hair loss, which is often temporary and caused by a disruption in the hair cycle following illness, great stress or emotional shock, miscarriage, strict dieting, etc. The treatment helps regulate the hair cycle so that it returns to normal and allows hair to grow back more quickly.

Shock loss after hair transplant

After a hair transplant, the implanted hair may fall out, a condition called shock loss. To prevent this, PRP injections can be administered alongside the transplant to stimulate the scalp and keep the grafts in place.

When do we see the effects of PRP hair?

It takes three to six months before you see results: shinier, revitalized hair, slower hair loss and hair regrowth over the months and sessions.

How do I prepare for a PRP hair session?

In the 24 hours before your session, do not drink alcohol or apply chemicals that could harm your scalp, and stop taking any blood-thinning medication a few days before your appointment. Our therapist will provide you with the necessary recommendations during your free consultation at SSSKIN.

When to do PRP after a hair transplant?

You can do PRP 10 days after a hair transplant or before the procedure to stimulate dormant hair follicles and encourage regrowth.

When to wash your hair after PRP treatment?

It is advisable to let the scalp rest after treatment to allow it to properly absorb the product. It is best not to wash your scalp for 8 to 12 hours after the injections.

Is PRP effective for hair?

Yes. PRP is very effective in stimulating regrowth and treating various forms of hair loss, including: moderate androgenetic alopecia, postpartum hair loss, traction alopecia, diffuse alopecia, and post-transplant hair loss.

Does PRP treat baldness?

PRP cannot treat very advanced baldness or a completely bald area. Note that the treatment does not regrow hair that no longer exists. However, in cases of incipient or moderate baldness, PRP can slow hair loss and make hair thicker.

Are the effects of PRP long lasting?

Yes. The treatment's effects are long-lasting, provided you perform maintenance sessions once or twice a year to boost existing and dormant hair.

Is the treatment painful?

No. The treatment is painless thanks to the precision and increased speed of our ULTIM® technology. Sometimes, depending on your sensitivity, a slight tingling sensation may be felt during the injections, but it is very bearable. An anesthetic cream may be applied to eliminate any unpleasant sensations.

Are there any side effects to PRP hair?

No. Platelet-rich plasma injections do not cause any side effects because the plasma is a biological product extracted from your body. However, after the session, you may experience mild pain at the injection sites, scalp tenderness, and a temporary headache and swelling that disappear within a few hours.
